Jiggler 1.9 released by Stick Software

Freeware app for Mac OS X keeps your computer awake for important tasks

Ithaca, New York, 10 June 2021 — Stick Software announced version 1.9 of Jiggler, a freeware utility for Mac OS X. Jiggler keeps your Mac awake through those lengthy tasks when it would rather fall asleep, by jiggling your mouse periodically. No more having to open System Preferences to change your sleep time and your screensaver delay, only to have to change them back again at the end. Just jiggle!

Jiggler is a "status item" that lives only in your menu bar. This frees up your valuable Dock space, while making Jiggler instantly accessible to be enabled or disabled whenever your jiggling needs change.

Jiggler is released as open source, found in the GitHub repository at https://github.com/bhaller/Jiggler. By making its code available to the OS X developer community, we hope both to provide helpful sample code to other developers, and also perhaps to receive improvements from the community that will make Jiggler better. It is licensed under the terms of the GNU General Public License, as specified in its source code distribution.

Jiggler 1.9 is compatible with OS X 10.15, 11.0, and (one hopes) onward. It adds native ("Universal") support for the new M1 chip, also known as Apple Silicon. A minor bug or two was also fixed.

Jiggler joins Stick Software products such as PhotoReviewer, Eyeballs, Fracture, and Constrictor. It is freeware; if you like it, please check out our shareware products, and pay for the shareware you use. Thanks!
